Why Some Sales Feel Effortless And How to Make Yours That Way
You’ve planned your event down to the last detail. Now sit back and enjoy, let the event coordinator worry about the logistics.
Why Some Sales Feel Effortless And How to Make Yours That Way
Attract More Clients, Book More Gigs, and Say Yes to More Sales
Ever wonder why some people seem to book clients or close deals with seemingly little effort? While others are still stuck repeating their offer for the tenth time?
Here’s the truth: effortless sales aren’t about pushy tactics or flashy pitches. They’re about trust, timing, and one simple moment of clarity.
Let me explain.
I met Janine a few weeks before her wedding celebration. She reached out because she needed a day-of coordinator but I could hear the hesitation in her voice. She had already planned everything, so… what would she really need a day of wedding coordinator for?
Fair question. And honestly? One I’ve asked myself when hiring pros in my own business.
Most people in my shoes might’ve responded with a list of tasks: how I’d coordinate with vendors, manage the setup, liaise with the venue, keep the timeline on track, and so on.
But that’s not what closed the sale.
Instead, I focused on one thing: what’s in it for her?
Because here’s the thing, when you’ve planned every single detail, whether it’s a wedding or a corporate event, it can be hard to give up the reins. But are you missing the point if you don’t?
I asked myself: Why were Janine and Eli having this celebration?
What would having expert help actually do for them?
Here’s what I told her:
“My job is to take all your plans, your vision for the day, all the little details, so that you and your partner can be present and enjoy your wedding, focusing on making memories with your friends and family that will last a lifetime.”
That was it. We talked through how that would work logistically, but the deal was essentially done.
Not just because planning and executing events lites me up, but because I understood the underlying reason they were celebrating. Helping her picture what it would feel like to be fully present, relaxed, and focused on what matters is what made it feel effortless.
Having meticulously planned countless corporate events and personal celebrations, I can spot challenges before they arise, am able to pivot quickly when things come up, and know how to calm the nerves of the host, letting them be fully present because they know their important event is being handled with grace.
That’s the difference between being a planner and being a partner in someone’s moment.
And that’s why the sale was effortless.
Thank you Janine and Eli for inviting me to help bring your wedding celebration to life and for the 5-star Google review!
